Material Control Specialist

Job Summary:

The main responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently load and unload freight while also sorting it according to the purchase order (PO) and SKU. The individual is required to use a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores, and then scan boxes, open cases, and place them on the correct conveyor for sorting. They are also responsible for packing single and multiple customer orders and affixing the correct shipping labels to packages before placing them on the correct conveyor for shipment. Additionally, they will induct apparel and footwear onto the tilt trays and pack products sorted by the tilt trays for shipment to stores. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and the pay rate is $14.94 per hour. Full-time hours are available and there are two shift options, with the first shift being from Monday to Friday with morning to afternoon hours, and the second shift being from Sunday to Thursday with afternoon to evening hours. There are also weekend shifts, with 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate execution of merchandise packaging is an essential factor in managing incoming orders to fulfill the requirements of customers and stores.

• Procedures cannot be disregarded when processing Return To Vendor, returned and liquidation items.
• Mastery in swift working conditions and managing swiftly changing scenarios.

• Communicates any concerns to the relevant parties, including the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
• Abides by the customary practices and regulations set during the introductory and training phases.

• To perform the job duties effectively, the employee must be able to communicate highly and diversely, using various methods.
• With possible assistance, potential to move up to 40 pounds of weight over a distance of 25 feet or more.
• Based on the necessity of business, associates may have to temporarily work in places with differing physical demands.
