Production Operator

Job Summary:

General Mills is hiring a Production Operator at our Hannibal, MO manufacturing facility. As part of our production team, you'll support packaging and processing operations, handle sanitation tasks, and participate in equipment startup, changeover, and shutdown. This role requires flexibility for 12-hour shifts and includes a competitive wage with increases based on training milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality food products consumed nationwide
• Operate and troubleshoot high-speed machinery
• Use technology to monitor and calibrate systems
• Participate in equipment startup, shutdown, and changeover
• Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Assist in training new employees
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in a food manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Perform tasks involving standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling for long periods
• Work at heights using ladders or platforms
• Wear required PPE (e.g., gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, face mask, hard hat)
• Work in various conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty, noisy)
• Be around food allergens and high-speed machinery

What You Have to Offer:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• At least 2 years of work experience
• Manufacturing/production experience preferred

Compensation:

• Starting pay: $17.82/hour
• Up to $21.34/hour after 3 months (based on training)
• Up to $27.81/hour after 1 year (based on training)
• Additional $1.00/hour for off-shift hours
