Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager (HRM) at US Foods supports the Area Director of HR by implementing area HR strategies and driving organizational performance. The HRM is a key partner in cultivating a safe, inclusive, and engaging work culture while overseeing employee relations, recruitment, policy compliance, and performance management. This role also involves union contract administration in applicable facilities and plays an important part in influencing leadership and supporting strategic HR initiatives.
Roles and Duties:
- Champion a culture of safety and ensure leadership accountability.
- Enhance employee experience and engagement through active partnership and action planning.
- Advise managers on HR policies, support training and development, and participate in goal setting.
- Lead and support internal communications and change management efforts.
- Conduct or assist in employee relations investigations and provide recommendations.
- Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance improvement plans.
- Administer leave practices and ADA accommodations in collaboration with legal teams.
- Partner with leadership to align HR practices with business objectives.
- Maintain personnel documentation and ensure compliance with federal and internal policies.

What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 6 years of HR experience, with 4 years in a professional role.
- Strong foundation in core HR principles and employment law knowledge (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- Experience with collective bargaining and affirmative action plans preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Willingness to travel 10–15%.
Compensation and Benefits:
Expected base salary for this role ranges from $69,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on experience, education, skills, and location.
This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
