Job Summary
This hybrid role, based in Elk Grove, CA, requires in-office presence three times a week. The Full Stack Web Architect is responsible for designing and managing end-to-end software solutions across front-end interfaces, back-end services, and databases. The position involves full lifecycle development including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of Drupal and Angular-based systems. This role plays a critical part in leading the development of scalable, high-performance digital platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end web architecture for Drupal-based systems, incorporating microservices where appropriate.
- Lead development activities using Drupal 8/9, PHP, Angular or React, and LAMP stack technologies.
- Create and integrate REST APIs and manage third-party service integrations.
- Collaborate with business users and development teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure web performance and system reliability through application performance management and load balancing.
- Support deployment and maintenance of Drupal patches, custom modules, and multi-site configurations.
- Contribute to enterprise architecture decisions and maintain development standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring within Agile development teams.
- Utilize cloud architecture and DevOps tools to support both cloud-based and on-premises environments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in application development with expertise in Drupal, JavaScript frameworks, and LAMP stack.
- Minimum 5 years of LAMP full stack development and Drupal 8 experience; 2+ years with Drupal 9 and Drupal eCommerce.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of REST API development and integration.
- Working knowledge of Acquia, Git, SQL, and Apache.
- Hands-on experience with high availability systems and website internationalization.
- Experience with automation and configuration tools like Jenkins, Ansible, and Docker is a plus.
- Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.

Salary
Compensation range: $107,000 – $187,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
